The book “Fever Pitch” is about Nick Hornby telling his life and how soccer became an important aspect in his life. The book is an autobiography and but there is more to it than being an autobiography. The book begins with the narrator being a kid and it tells about how his father would take him to soccer games after he separated from his mom. The book reveals things about Nick’s past but he talks about his life and the soccer games he remembers over the years. Nick lets you see into his mind as you read this book and how soccer became an obsession. He loved soccer the more and more he went to the games. To include Nick became a huge Arsenal fan and supported the team. As Nick goes through the story mentioning his relationship with his father and how they become distant over the years the Nick becomes older.
